This sweater uses stitches made and deliberately dropped and run back to give it a well worn look. The rib of the body is designed to stretch while that of the sleeves will stay snug. The runs avoid the nipple area!!


Materials
Paton's Linen Touch or other DK in the amounts shown in the table
pair 3.5 and 4.5 mm (US 4 and 7) needles
thin needle for picking up stitches
row counter
waste yarn or stitch holders
6 DIFFERENT stitch markers

Tension
18 sts and 24 rows to 4 ins over stocking stitch after washing.

To fit bust 26 (30, 34, 39, 44, 48, 54, 58, 62, 66) ins
Finished bust 32 (36, 40, 45, 49, 54, 58, 63, 67, 72) ins
Length 24 (25, 26, 27, 28, 28.5, 29, 29.5, 30, 30.5) ins
Sleeve Length 5 (5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5) ins
Yarn 7 (8, 9, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 27, 32) x 50 g balls
Total metres 700 (800, 900, 1100, 1400, 1700, 2000, 2300, 2700, 3200) metres approx

Notes
The pattern will work for other DK yarns.
The pattern is written out twice, with 5 sizes in each, to make reading easier. Make sure you follow the correct one for your size - I suggest you mark the correct figure each time.
All dropped stitches are run back to a yo when the pieces are completed.
The style is sized to be baggy and is measured without the runs. If you want a tighter fit do the next size down.
