Straight off the catwalk, but lengthened for real people! This skirt is straightforward to knit and the weight of the cotton makes the wide hem move attractively when walking. The tension is tight enough to make sure the fabric doesn't seat.


Materials
325 (390, 450, 520, 585) g ColourMart 7/24 DK Aromatic Cotton (see note)
ie 1120 (1350, 1550, 1800, 2020) yards
3, 3.5 and 4 mm (US 3, 4 and 6) circular needles
row counter
tapestry needles for weaving in ends
stitch markers as desired
25 (30, 35, 40, 45) ins of ¾" elastic

Tension
26 sts and 36 rows to 4 ins over stocking stitch on 4 mm needles after washing and blocking.

Sizes
The ribbing with elastic behind is very stretchy for in-between sizes.

actual hip 50 60 70 80 90 ins
hem 85 102 119 136 153 ins
length below waistband 19 ins 49 cm for all sizes

Notes
This pattern will work for other DK yarns in cotton, cotton blend, linen blend, ramie, bamboo and other viscose fibres but make sure you buy the correct YARDAGE, as some cotton-type yarns are more tightly spun and have a smaller number of yards/metres per ball.
