A typical Faroese shawl with the proper shaping in the wings to make sure it stays on your shoulders!
The pattern will work with other 4 ply yarns as long as you check your tension.
What you need to make the shawl
5 x 50 g balls of Artesano 4 ply alpaca for shawl plus 1 extra for fringe
4.5 mm (US 7) needles
4 stitch markers
row counter
crochet hook for fringe
Size
Back length 30 ins
Front edge 60 ins
Hem 110 ins
all measurements excluding fringe
Tension
20 sts and 36 rows to 4 ins over garter stitch.
Both figures are after washing and blocking
