Santa Hat and Beard in 9 sizes to fit an egg cosy to a large man
Originally made for yarn bombing on the Orkney island of Flotta, these hats and beards are suitable for all the family, including the pets and toys!
Materials
red DK: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2) 50g balls
white eyelash DK: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1*, 1*, 2, 2) 50g balls
* a second ball will be required for a tassel or pompom
pair 4 mm needles
5 stitch markers
Sizes
to fit: egg cosy (small baby or cat, baby or dog, toddler, child, teen, woman, man, large man)
circumference: 15 (33, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54, 57) cm / 6 (14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23, 24)"
Note - the smallest 4 sizes do not have a moustache.

20 sts and 28 rows to 10cm/4" over stocking stitch
