To celebrate The Year of Natural Fibres, here is a sweater featuring lots of different fibre animals. Knit the animals in their own fibre, or the whole sweater in Shetland wool.
Materials
Jamieson and Smith’s 2 ply jumper weight in the amounts and colours shown in the pattern
3 and 3.5 mm (US 2 and 4) circular needles or dpns
thin needle for picking up stitches
Tension
30 sts and 31 rows to 4 ins on 3.5 mm needles
Sizes
to fit chest: 31 (34, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52) ins
actual chest: 35 (38, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56) ins
length: 23.5 (24, 24.5, 25, 25.5, 26, 27) ins
sleeve length: 18 (19, 19, 19, 20, 20, 21) ins
