Originally designed for my mother to wear at a wedding, this jacket is as versatile as it is timeless. Wear it with a skirt or jeans, formal or informal. It would also look good with three buttons on the yoke….

What you need to know to make the jacket:

Materials
ColourMart 20% cashmere/20% silk/60% merino DK in the quantities shown in the table below
3.5 and 4 mm (US 5 and 6) needles
row counter
7 buttons about 1 ins diameter
stitch holders or lengths of yarn

Tension
22 sts and 34 rows to 4 ins over textured stripe pattern on 4 mm needles after washing and blocking.

to fit bust 26 (30, 32, 34, 38, 42, 46, 52, 58, 62) ins
actual bust 31 (35, 40, 44, 48, 53, 57, 61, 66, 70) ins
length 29 (29, 30, 30, 31, 31, 32, 32, 33, 33) ins
sleeve length 16 (16.5, 17, 17, 17.5, 17.5, 18, 18.5, 19, 19) ins
no of grams 420 (450, 470, 500, 550, 650, 800, 900, 1100, 1300) grams
(The length and sleeve length are easily adjustable.)

Notes
The original was worked using 4 strands of 2/28 yarn. The pattern will work for ColourMart heavy DK yarns, and many DK yarns from other companies.

There are written instructions for the stitch pattern within the pattern. In addition, there are charts at the end.
