A useful shrug for all ages and sizes. It can be worn loose as a cardi or tighter as the original shrugs. The lace pattern is easier to knit than it looks. There are ‘yos’ on all rows in some parts of the pattern, but you never have ‘just some’ yos on even numbered rows!

Materials
75 (90, 120, 150, 200) g ColourMart cashmere 4 ply
3.75 mm (US 5) needles
3.75 mm (US 5) circular needle for edging
thin needle for picking up stitches
row counter
waste yarn for provisional cast on

Sizes
to fit bust 28-34 (34 – 40, 40 – 48, 40 – 56, 56 – 62) ins
sleeve circumference 20 (24, 28, 32, 36) ins
see note about sizing

Tension
Over pattern: one pattern repeat of 10 sts and 28 rows measures 2 ins wide and 3.5 ins long
Garter stitch: 23 sts and 48 rows to 4 ins
Both figures are after washing and blocking

Notes
The photos show the second size on a 34 in bust mannequin and on a 44 in bust model.
The pattern will work for other ColourMart 4 ply yarns, and also for many LACE WEIGHT yarns from other companies.
