Just the thing to make with left-overs from bigger projects or to try out a new yarn


Things you need to know to make the collars and scarves:

Materials
about 100 yards, or 6 g of any of ColourMart’s lace weight yarns for a collar
about 200 yards, or 12 g of any of ColourMart’s lace weight yarns for a narrow scarf
about 400 yards, or 25 g of any of ColourMart’s lace weight yarns for a wider scarf
pair 3 mm (US 2 or 3)) needles

Size
The camel collar is 4.5 ins wide and 22 ins long before twisting and joining. The narrow scarf is 4.5 by 48 ins (adjustable). The wide scarf is 8.5 ins wide and 48 ins long (adjustable)
The lime collar is 4.75 ins wide and 24 ins long before twisting and joining. The narrow scarf is 4.75 by 48 ins (adjustable). The wide scarf is 9 ins wide and 48 ins long (adjustable).

Tension
One central pattern repeat of 10 sts measures 1.75 in wide for both patterns. The complete pattern of 22 rows of the camel scarf measures 2.5 ins, and the 36 rows of the lime scarf measures 4.25 ins.

Note that ColourMart lace weights are the same as most cobweb yarns. The patterns will work with other yarns, and different needles sizes, but swatches must be done to work out the tension.
