a simple, useful shape for Mum and Daughter – easily thrown on over almost anything and as dressy as you want it to be!


Materials
ColourMart Heavy lambswool/silk or other aran weight yarn in the amounts shown below
pairs 4.5 and 5 mm needles (US 7 and 8)
row counter
2 stitch markers
stitch holders or lengths of yarn


Sizes
Children’s sizes:
age: (1 – 4, 6, 8, 10, 12)
actual chest: 26 (28,30, 32, 34)
back length: 12 (14, 16, 18, 19)
sleeve length: 6 (7, 8, 9, 10)
grams yarn: 220 (240, 280, 300, 350)

Adult Sizes:
to fit: 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 54, 60)
actual chest: 38 (42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66)
back length: 20 (21, 23, 24, 25, 25, 26, 26)
sleeve length: 11 (11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14)
grams yarn : 350 (400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900)
(lengths and sleeve lengths are easily adjustable)


Tension
17.5 sts and 26 rows to 4 ins over stocking stitch on 5 mm needles


Note
The adult version photographed is knitted in ColourMart wool/silk. The child’s version is knitted in North Ronaldsay Aran weight wool.
Photos show the 32” size on a 32” model, and the smallest size on a 9 month model
