Originally made for a friend who lost her plaits to cancer treatment, this is a fun hat for folk of all ages. It is worked from the top down, and the plaits are added after the knitting is finished.
MATERIALS
25 (40, 50, 75, 100, 130, 150) g DK yarn / 75 (120, 150, 225, 300, 390, 450) yards
2 short dpns or cable needles for the i-cord
3.5 mm circular needle
6 stitch markers
I used DK from Rainbow Fusions;
80% superwash merino, 20% nylon
SIZE
to fit: premie (baby, toddler, child, teen, woman, man)
circumference: 12 (14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24)”
TENSION
24 sts and 35 rows to 4” over stocking stitch
