A shawl in fingering weight yarn
What you need to know to make the shawl:
Materials
pairs 3.75 and 4.5mm (US5 and 7) needles
4.5mm (US7) circular needle
60 (100, 200) g fingering yarn. I used The Unique Sheep’s Pashmi Gradiance Sock Set, colourway Hot Springs
row counter
7 stitch markers
Sizes
To fit: child (adult, plus sizes)
Neck circumference: 13 (18, 23)”
Length (easily adjustable): 9 (13, 16)”
Tension
19 sts and 26 rows to 4”/10 cm over pattern after washing and dressing/blocking.
Construction
The shawl is worked from the neck down. It can be made as long as you like,
but remember longer lengths will require more yarn!
